My journey into Career Coaching? It wasn’t part of the plan, but those are always the best stories, right?

While working as a Professional Sign Language Interpreter, I had the privilege of connecting with some incredible VR Counselors in the Deaf community. That connection led me to my first mentor in the field, who introduced me to this line of work and became a catalyst for me to pursue certification as a Job Coach and Employment Specialist at the University of North Texas. I continued to serve my local community, support friends and professionals in my personal network with their resumes and career transitions.

Then came the pandemic—the turning point. What started as curiosity about resume consulting became an all-consuming passion. I threw myself into professional development, immersing myself in training through the National Resume Writers Association (NRWA), the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC), and The Modern Coach. These organizations sharpened my technical skills and connected me to a supportive community that refined my vision and propelled my career forward. I currently hold the recognized Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) credential, issued by PARWCC as of September 2025.

In 2023, I officially launched Resume + Coffee, and my vision brewed into something truly meaningful. It wasn’t just about writing resumes—it was about creating a space where authentic, pressure-free career conversations could thrive.
